About Us

The year 2020 - 1788 was founded, but it started long before when our family would head north for the weekend. My wife and I used to enjoy making bloody mary's for ourselves and guests at our cabin. Instead of bringing multiple bottles of seasoning, we would batch it at home to take with us. After a few hit-and-miss trials, we finally nailed down a recipe we liked. We'd bottle and batch the seasoning for friends, take it with us on trips, and loved gifting it. Years went by and our little recipe became a bigger idea. We decided to officially bottle and sell 1788 the year we both retired and have loved doing it since.
